Boys' and Girls' Cross Country
The Cross Country season for both boys and girls runs from mid-August until the end of October. There are varsity and junior varsity teams for both boys and girls. Meets are held weekdays after school and on Saturdays. If runners or teams would qualify for the state championship meet, an overnight trip would be required.

The 15th annual Fred D. Martin Cross Country Invitational will held on Saturday, September 30th at 9:00 AM at Melas Park in Arlington Heights, Il. Close to 30 schools from all over the state of Illinois will come to run in six races. Races will be held for 5th and 6th grade boys and girls in the mile and races will be held for boys and girls in both the 1 1/2 mile and 2mile distances. An awards ceremony will follow the races at approximately 12:00 PM.

- 8:00AM-9:00AM Open Course Walk
- 9:15AM 1 mile run –Girls in Grades 5-6
- 9:30AM 1 mile run- Boys in Grades 5-6
- 9:45AM 1.5 mile run- Boys & Girls in Grades 6-8
- 10:15AM 2 mile run-Boys & Girls in Grades 6-8
