CONTRIBUTIONS OF MEMBERS OF ST. PETER LUTHERAN CHURCH
Members of St. Peter Lutheran Church contribute as their hearts are moved by the Lord, through their church offering envelopes, to the support of the total program of the church, which includes our Christian School. The operation cost of our school, therefore, is borne by the entire congregation, along with all other programs of the church. Although there is a very real cost for such a venture (cost-per-student for a school year is $5330, including operating and maintenance expenses, and pro-rated capital costs), there is a price paid in other ways, such as the dedicated service given by pastors, teachers, and personnel to assure that such a place will always be a reality. Parents, too, reflect that spirit in the sacrifices of time and energy which are always evident during a school year in a myriad of ways.
The giving of financial offerings is done with a love-relationship. The Lord has given each of us so very much. In His love, He has given the ultimate, eternal salvation through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. He asks that in return for His love, we give Him the first fruits of our labors abundantly, with no holding back. He then gives again; daily and richly blessing us with comfort, peace, joy, all our earthly needs and the hope of heaven. When you experience the joy of giving, you experience the joy of living. return to top
