Mariana Knea Awarded Intermediate Teacher of the Year
On behalf of her dedicated efforts to differentiate learning for her students, the Northern Illinois District Lutheran Teachers Conference awarded its 2008 Intermediate Teacher of the Year to Mrs. Mariana Knea. Ms. Knea, St. Peter’s REACH coordinator and part-time 4th grade teacher, humbly accepted the award before the NID Teachers Conference assembly of 550+ educators at Northern Illinois University on Friday, November 10, 2008. Congratulations, Ms. Knea!!
Living Water Chapel Project
Students and staff at St. Peter have set a goal this fall to collect enough money through chapel offerings to build a well for a third world country. Each week during chapel students are reminded of how blessed we are to have access to clean, fresh water every day at our homes and school.
